It was important to create a bar that took advantage of the beautiful landscape of the river without interfere with the historical zone of the city. The bar is inserted under the side-walk with the main room opened to the Douro river. We enter the bar by a ramp similar to those of the ancient fishermen. A new space of intimacy is born facing the water and protected from the urban tumult.

How we designed the architecture project
We developed this architectural project based on a topographic survey of the surroundings. We then created a model in which we tested the impact of the building at scale, analyzing all its points of view. Finally, we create a three-dimensional model in which we evaluate the solution and its behavior over time. This ensures a project that is well integrated into the urban context of the city.
